Isn’t it amazing how living things just keep on living? Keep a potato around too long and it will develop shoots, chop off the ends of a spring onion and plop it in a glass of water and you’ll have recurring allium for all your alimentary needs. This particular harvested, waxed rutabega couldn’t help itself but to keep sprouting and growing, even after sitting on a kitchen counter for a few weeks. Isn’t life marvellous?
